The Naked Truth

When I was young, I believed in magic. I believed there were fairies making the buttercups sway in the breeze and sprites were responsible for those mysterious splashing sounds you hear in the creek when no fish are around. I heard their whispers in the wind and saw their shadows cross the flowers.

But I grew up and the magic I once felt, vanished.

It had disappeared completely, until I saw you. You are the last of your kind and in your eyes, the Earth’s deepest secrets hide; in your hair, the Earth’s passions are ablaze and your skin is the Earth’s most caring touch.

I want to curl up in your embrace, while the sun sets and fall asleep knowing there is still magic and I am still a child of it.

Photographed for “The Naked Truth” series.
