We all know that sensation in the pit of our stomachs that ignited during our middle school years every time our crush walked by. Well, fashion lovers get this same feeling in their eyes when they come across a dress, necklace or pair of shoes they need to have. Eyecrush is a new online boutique that indulges these yearning fashionistas with unique, edgy and affordable accessories. The website, www.eyecrush.net, was launched on June 1 and already has an avid following.

“I would say they are bold, eye-catching pieces. No matter what your style, whether you are funky fresh, modern or sophisticated chic, you can find a piece and make it work for your own individual style,” said founder Erica Brock.

Brock, for the most part, runs a one-woman show. She works full-time as a luxury retail assistant manager and has always wanted to start a fashion business of her own. She performed all of the research and marketing herself, and the result was an online boutique that offers pieces that stand out from what shoppers would find in most stores and caters to a variety of styles.

“I do a lot of research and I’m always comparing what other jewelry boutiques have and it’s not what everyone else has. I don’t necessarily want it to be trendy, I want it to be current and still classic pieces. I don’t want it to be what everyone else is doing,” said Brock.

After the boutique gains momentum and success Brock hopes to introduce apparel and cosmetics as well.

“The sky’s the limit,” Brock said. “I just want it to be that brand that’s very recognizable. I want people to say, ‘Oh, I need a necklace, let me go to Eyecrush’ or ‘I need a vintage handbag, let me go to Eyecrush.’ I don’t want to be like every other brand.”

Brock invites anyone who values and has a passion for their own style to browse the website.

“If you love bold pieces and love to stand out in the crowd and love something different and love to be unique then you should visit Eyecrush because it’s going to be items that you don’t necessarily see when you go into stores or other online boutiques. The pieces are very versatile. There is something for everyone,” said Brock.
